ISH-ENTERPRISES: Two days to take stock
On October 9 and 10, 2024, the ESSEC campus in Douala will serve as the meeting point between the Institute of Halieutic Sciences (ISH) of the University of Douala and various companies, under the patronage of Pr. Magloire Ondoua, Rector of the University. This meeting, titled “Strengthening the Synergy of Interventions Between the ISH and Enterprises: Monitoring and Evaluating the Effectiveness of Collaboration, Constraints, and Perspectives,” is crucial for the future of higher education in connection with the professional sector.
During these two days, the ISH and the invited companies will review their respective action plans to establish a common vision, reinforce achievements, and identify gaps to be filled. In a context where the professionalization of education is becoming essential, this exchange aims to align the theoretical expertise of academics with the technical requirements of the job market.
This meeting presents a golden opportunity for the ISH to rethink its collaborations within a constructive framework and ensure that academic training meets the needs of the professional world. The stakes are high: to train competent graduates capable of meeting employment challenges.
The impact of these discussions could redefine higher education in Douala and beyond, adopting a pragmatic and forward-looking approach. This dialogue represents a decisive step toward academic and professional excellence, promising a bright future for young graduates.
